I’ve talked a bit about how the emergence of the New Audio industry — I’m calling it that for now, just roll with it — has thus far exhibited a “lack of journalistic ambition” (quoting from a comment left on that Adam Davidson Facebook thread), apparently reacting to the current moment of opportunity by skewing more towards entertainment, cultural, or infotainment programming.
