Making Gay History follow-up

As I mentioned in Tuesday’s newsletter, I originally reached out to Eric Marcus, the creator of Making Gay History, to talk a little bit about archives — the work of it, and how it can be further enabled by the internet and podcasts. In my email of questions, I also asked: “So, I personally believe that archives — and all other manner of historical documentation, from newspapers to preserved tweets — are important as primary material that can help contiguously carry forward the narrative of a society. But I’m curious to hear what your perspective is on the value of archives, and what are its contemporary challenges challenges it currently faces?”
